Name: Keta
Sex: Male
Age: 3 Years
Appearance: He is mostly dark gray with black ticking, and a dark reddish mask and belly, with dark orange eyes.
Personality: Keta is, for lack of a better term, a bit of a lazy wolf. He doesn't much like to run, jump, or scurry about like many of his peers. He's generally very laid-back. He doesn't talk a lot, he doesn't move a lot, and he doesn't have very strong emotions. He's just kinda..there. He's a bit of an introvert, but also desires a sense of belonging. If someone is special enough to make him feel emotions, he feels an urge to protect them, and can be quite loyal. He's a very "go with the flow" kind of wolf, which makes him hard to faze, but can also get him into trouble. The flow that he goes with may lead straight into a bear's den, for example. His response to such an event would probably be something along the lines of "oh. How unfortunate."
Someone who doesn't talk much does have an advantage: they are often excellent listeners. Keta is no different. He may not like to move around a lot, but he is good at watching and listening, though his laid-back nature leads him to being pretty tuned-out most of the time. If he has the right motivation and can manage to stay alert, he often notices small details that others won't.
Backstory: Keta was born to island wolves who happened to be first-time parents. He only had one sibling, who ended up getting nabbed by a coyote early on due to his parents being naive. These things do happen with first-time parents, after all. As the only remaining pup, Keta was spoiled thoroughly, and ended up being quite the chubby little pup. The small family of three didn't need (and frankly couldn't) catch deer, so they lived off of the spoils of the sea. Small rodents, rabbits, and stoats got them through the winter. Due to this upbringing, Keta never really learned how to hunt big game, so he grew into a wolf who isn't too fond of...well, moving. He did learn to listen very carefully for the scuttling of tiny feet, and how to watch a stream and pounce on a fish at precisely the right moment. As a two-year-old, he left his pack to see what else life had to offer. He came across some females, but unsurprisingly, his courtship attempts were a bit low-energy and left the ladies thoroughly unimpressed. At this point, he's just hoping to find somewhere that he can fit in.
