The Ailik system is rocky at its edges, and its inland forests rest on hills and uneven terrain. It offers a good view of the shore, as well as the shorelines of some of the other islands, so scouts are often sent here to keep an eye on things. The rocks surrounding it are also great basking spots for seals and sea lions, making the islands a hunting ground as well. And...it's pretty fun to jump around on the rocks and roll down hills. Sometimes wolves (pups, especially) come to the Ailiks to goof off and have fun!

The Stikines are small islands, pine rainforest in the center, just like the other islands. But unlike the other islands, the Stikines have large stretches of pristine fishing beaches. There is a higher beach content the other islands, and less forest. These islands are a great place to forage. Hunters will definitely be spending a fair amount of time here!

The Tokositna system includes islands with large coves, and whales often come to rub themselves at the rocky bottoms of them. Killer whales also herd baleen whale calves and seals into the coves to make hunting easier. When they get done with their favorite parts of the prey, the discarded carcasses often wash ashore. Talk about good eats! Thanks to its coves, Tokositna is a great place for incredible sights and occasional bouts of copious food. But it comes with a price. Humans often come to the islands to watch the whales, and not all of them are too sympathetic of wolves near their camps...caution is necessary on this system.
